About the project

Karin’s 2 blue Pot Holders includes 2 lovely designs. One with swallows, and one with a flower. The one with the flower can be made with open or closed windows (see the pictures).

The pot holders are made in interlocking crochet, a technique that consists of two crochet parts in different colors which are interlinked and thereby they form a relief picture.

The patterns are for right handed crochet.

Dimensions

The pot holders measures approx 20,5 x 21,5 cm (23 x 23 windows), depending on the yarn (see below) and hook size.

Yarn

Recommended yarn is cotton 8/4.
You need two colors. The best result is with contrasting colors.

The pot holders are shown in blue and white.
50 g / 170 m (total 215 m)

You need some basic crochet skills to become familiar with the technique. In Pot Holder with Flower there is used diagonals which adds some complexity to the basics in interlocking crochet.

The pattern includes a photo tutorial with links and QR codes to 11 video tutorials.

Furthermore to the Danes an additional introduction to the technique in danish.
