Meet Karp, the little Watermelon Doll! Ηe’s sweet, refreshing and summer is his favorite time of the year!
Karp’s name comes from karpoúzi (καρπούζι) which means “watermelon” in Greek.
LANGUAGE:
-English (US terminology)
MATERIALS:
-Cotton yarn in 4 colors plus a bit of black yarn
-Crochet hook for the yarn you use (I used a 2,5 mm hook)
-Stitch marker or a thread of yarn
-Scissors
-Tapestry needle
-Soft toy stuffing
SIZE:
If made with suggested yarn and hook, Karp will be approximately 12 cm | 4.7 inches tall.
LEVEL:
Advanced beginner
SKILLS NEEDED:
-Basic crochet stitches like chain, slip stitch, single crochet.
-You should know how to: make a magic ring, work in continuous rounds (spiral), sc increase, sc (invisible) decrease, work with the tapestry technique (alternating colors for the hat).
-Basic sewing skills to sew parts together.
