Karuna is the Sanskrit word for compassion, and was inspired by a Yogi friend who radiates sunshine, and would move mountains to bring joy to others. The crossed stitches of this motif reminded me of sparks of sunlight dappling water, and I couldn’t think of a more peaceful and happy image to create in string!

This tuque is knit from the top down, which is turning the typical hat making method on it’s head. Top down hats are a game changer if you are always playing yarn chicken and struggling with the fit of tuques.
