Katarina Jacket
This pattern is from the collection History on Two Needles by Annie Modesitt.
Based on the Stieler painting of Katerina Rosa Botzaris, the Greek-inspired coat has been updated to a zip front color work jacket.
To create this jacket I’ve used two vastly different Trendsetter yarns (a worsted thickness, lightweight ribbon and a sport thickness, densely cabled rayon/polyester yarn.)
Serendipitously, this mixing of two thicknesses of yarn weights works, in this case, to create a fabric with similar stitch and row gauges.
This allows for wonderful pattern matching at row/stitch seams.
