This blanket was designed for my newest granddaughter, Kate. Shortly after I found out that she was on the way, I came across Large Lacy Cables in Barbara Walker’s book, Charted Knitting Designs: A Third Treasury of Knitting Patterns. It was perfect. I immediately started swatching, tweaking, and trying different edge treatments. I am pleased with the result, and Kate seems to like it, too.
