Kate's Happy Hat for Chemo
This is my happy hat! Works up quickly with an easy peasy eyelet pattern for a little air conditioning. This is helpful for baldies like me who want to wear a hat when it is not freezing outside. :)
You will need a 16” circular needle and 5 double pointed needles, US size 8, or size needed to obtain gauge. If you want to use a lighter weight yarn / tighter gauge for a different look, try casting on 80 sts instead of 72 at the beginning of the pattern.
One skein of any of the suggested yarns is plenty, with the exception of the 90 yd Color Wheel skein. That was just enough to complete the light blue hat pictured. I recommend buying about 120 yds of any worsted weight that strikes your fancy.
