What do you say about a wee girl whose life never had a chance to be fulfilled. Do you tell of a giggle as sweet as the sound of a spring robin. Do you remember eyes the colour of the tropical seas, or a moppet of black curls. What about the gravely voice or her love of butterflies and yellow. Do you remember the searing pain that you felt even as a child because you knew something was lost, something this world needed. Or do you as we do now , smile when we see a yellow butterfly and know she is telling us I am watching over you. This is for Kathryn Grace Oonagh Ryan who would be 35 now and whom if things were different, I would be most likely making these socks for her child.
