Katie's Magic Loop Fingerless Gloves
by GroovyRuth
This pattern is
available for free.
My niece admired my “homeless” gloves, so I downsized these gloves for her 7-year-old hands. She loves them!
Update: made them again in 2014 for my now 12-year-old niece!! See pattern updates for larger hands. These would now fit a small to medium woman’s hand. CO 40.
For adults: CO 45 stitches. I put 20 sts on one needle and 25 on the other so I can stay in pattern, which for adult version is k3, p2 rib. For thumb gusset, knit 21, pm, k3, pm, k21. Increase until 19 sts in between markers. To finish the hand, work round in rib pattern for 21 sts, casting on and knitting 3 stitches using the backward loop or single cast-on method, then finishing the next 21 stitches in the rib pattern. Top edge - 2-3 knit rows.
