Katina
The Katina shawl has the shape of a half circle.
The two color slip stitch pattern is called “hanging fruits” and you only work with one color per row.
Plus there is not a single purl stitch to work!
Material
The shawl requires approx. 350 gr (1414 yds / 1295 m) of Sport Weight Yarn;
808 yds / 740 m of the Main Color and
606 yds / 555 m of the Contrast Color
The sample shown used 7 skeins of Ulysse by De Rerum Natura (Sport, 100% Merino Wool, 202 yds / 185 m per 50 gr);
4 skeins in colorway Granit (MC) and
3 skeins in colorway Potimarron (CC)
One US 5 / 3.75 mm circular needle (or size to obtain gauge), 40 “/ 100 cm or longer to accommodate the large number of stitches, tapestry needle
