Katniss Inspired Huntress Cowl
This crochet pattern was inspired by the ultra stylish cowl worn by Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. The cowl is much easier to make than you might think.
The finished cowl measures approximately 44 inches (112 cm) around the shoulders (but it has plenty of stretch so it will fit broader shoulders too) and is approximately 26 inches (66 cm) in length from the top of the collar to the bottom edge of the garment. The cowl is one size and will fit from Tweens to adult.
You will only need three 4 oz skeins (100g balls) of light worsted weight (double knitting/8 ply) to complete the cowl, together with a size I/9 (5.5 mm) crochet hook. You will also need two pieces of cord or rope approximately 27” (69 cm) in length for the upper edge of the cowl.
My goal is to make my patterns workable by all skill levels; they are written in plain English using standard US terms, which makes them easy to follow whether you are a newbie crocheter or you have many years of experience, but you can always message me if you have any queries about my patterns.
