The Katrina Shawl was exclusively designed for Wooligalooli’s handspun 100% Merino superwash yarn.
It was designed to be a quick and easy project, resulting in a cosy and warm, crescent shaped shawl.
It is knitted in seed stitch from the centre outwards, and grows by adding stitches at the end of each row.
A non-stretchy bind-off is required to give the shawl its crescent shape and curly ends; the stitches added at the end of each row are worked using the slip-knot cast-on method, and give the shawl its picot-like edges.
A photo tutorial explaining the slip-knot cast-on is included in the pattern.
Enjoy your knitting!
