The Katrine Sontag Shawl is very easy and beginner friendly. This pattern is part of my Vintage Crochet Series, and is very typical of an 18th century wrap/shawl, as could be found in the Scottish Highlands. It is a very beautiful and feminine shawl that features ties to secure it around the body (see photographs); this is called a sontag shawl.

This shawl is very beginner friendly, and features a lovely V shape, as well as a V stitch/shell stitch edging and feminine ties to help fasten this shawl around the body.

For this project you will need:

A skein of Caron Cloud Cake in shade Cloud Grey
A 5 mm crochet hook
A pair of scissors
A tapestry needle
