This is a PDF crochet pattern for a beanie with a hole in the top to allow for a ponytail or messy bun. (The pattern also includes instructions to finish this hat off with no opening for a regular closed-top slouchy beanie.) The pattern is worked from the bottom up with a slip stitch ribbing (you can substitute sc if you like) which creates a fabulous and stretchy knit look. There is a video link tutorial included (for the slip stitch ribbing only). The hole uses an elastic hair tie to stretch over a bun but still stay snug for a ponytail. Keep your hair up and out of the way but still stay warm! This pattern coordinates perfectly with my Charisma Mittens pattern.

The pattern has been designed to work with any weight of yarn and any gauge. It is very easy to customize for size or gauge. Instructions are also included to make this a regular beanie with no opening in the top.
