The Kayha Shawl is one of those patterns that you can joyfully return to time and again. The simple mediative design is the canvas for your own special magic, whether that’s using two contrasting colours, using a single self-striping yarn, a long gradient fading yarn or even that special yarn you’ve been waiting to use.

The luxurious drape is created by using a larger hook size resulting in a lightweight, airy fabric which moves beautifully with you. It’s perfection, keeping you toasty-warm and stylish.

The size of your Kayha Shawl can be easily adjusted thanks to its simple pattern repeat. Whether you prefer a shorter, cozy wrap or a dramatic, longer flowing shawl, this pattern adjusts to fit your style effortlessly.

Perfect for beginners and seasoned crocheters alike, the Kayha Shawl is a relaxing and rewarding project that works up quickly. Choose your favourite yarn, grab your hook, and enjoy the rhythm of creating a timeless, elegant accessory that you’ll love to wear or gift!

Skein Sisters, Fabulous Sock, 4 ply, 80% Australian extra fine superwash merino, 20% nylon (100g/400m)
Colour A: Hollow Sky 118g/472m
Colour B: Blue Banded Bee 116g/464m
Contrasting band: Scorcher 27g/108m

I used a 4.5mm hook - the larger hook size is what gives this shawl its beautiful drape. If you wanted to use a heavier weight yarn, I suggest using a hook size at least 1mm to 1.5mm larger than the recommended size i.e., for DK yarn use a 5mm or 5.5mm hook.
