Kaylynn Doll Jacket
My grandaughters need clothes for their 2 dolls. The dolls measure 8 inches tall and 5 inches wide. I also had surgery and have been told to “behave”. No going to the mall or driving around town for hot chocolate. So, I need somthing to do while I am home bound.
The cardigan is knitted sideways. It starts at the midchest of the model vertically and ends when I bind off the sleeve. There are 4 pieces (2 fronts and 2 backs). I knitted 2 pieces for the backs and mattressed stitched them together and then mattressed stitched 1 front to each back at the side seam. Sew the shoulder and sleeve seams to finish. Try on doll frequently to see if it fits.
Difficulty level: beginner/advanced beginner.
Skills: knit, purl, cast on, bind off, mattress stitch for seaming.
Yarn: works best with yarn that has stitch definition.
Finished measurements: 3”long X 5” wide.
