YARN VARIATION 1:
150 (200, 250, 300) g Isager Tweed for the short-sleeved model
200 (250, 300, 350) g Isager Tweed for the long-sleeved model
Approximately 50 g of leftover yarn for the Contrast in Isager Tvinni, Isager Highland or Isager Alpaca 2 of differing lengths from 15 to 50 cm, knotted together and wrapped into a ball.
RECOMMENDED COLORWAYS:
Isager Tweed, Color Sand & Contrast Colors: 1s, 7s, 8s, 16, 23s
Isager Tweed, Color Topaz & Contrast Colors: 3, 8s, 23s, 25s, 54
7 – 9 buttons with a diameter of 13 mm or 0.5 inch in a color which matches a contrast color. Buttons in an assortment of different colors can also be used.
MEASUREMENTS:
Chest circumference: 96 (112, 120, 126) cm or 38 (44, 47, 50) inches
Sleeve Length: 10 – 40 cm or 4 – 16 inches or desired length + cuff
Total Length: 50 – 65 cm or 20 – 26 inches + 5 cm or 2 inches for cuff
The amount of yarn required may vary depending on the desired width and length of the Body and Sleeves. Therefore, the yarn quantities listed above are only a suggestion.
CONSTRUCTION NOTES
The small cardigan is worked from top to bottom with stripes of contrast colors. It starts with a ribbed neckband and is worked in stockinette stitch back and forth as in the knitting sample. The stitches for
the Sleeves are set aside and the Body is worked to the desired length and ended with a ribbed bottom band. Then, the Sleeves are worked to the desired length.
