These fingerless gloves with a basic design will allow you to practice your skills with color work.
Pattern notes
Knitted from bottom to top, after 2.5cm / 1in of 1x1 rib, the body is worked, following the leaf chart instructions. The thumb stitches are worked from his own chart, while continue with the leaf chart in the rest of the stitches. Then, finish with 2.5cm / 1in of 1x1 rib for the hand, and 1.5cm / ½in of 1x1 rib for the thumb.

Yarn
Fingering weight yarn, about 50 grams in total, in two colors. For the sample I used Garnstudio Drops Fabel (75% wool / 25 % polyamide; 50g / 205m per ball) in color 100 (natural, main color) and color 542 (green, contrasting color). I spent about 20 grams on each color.
Needles and notions
-3mm / U.S. 2½ needle(s) of your preferred type for working small circumferences
-3 stitch markers (3 more if you want separate the repetitions of the chart)
-Waste yarn, for hold thumb stitches
-Tapestry needle
-Scissors
Gauge
33 sts and 32 rounds to 10cm / 4in over colorwork pattern in the round. Use 3mm / U.S. 2½ needle (s) as a starting point for swatching.
Size
To fit average adult hand, with 18-20cm / 7-8in circumference.
Measurements
length (from bottom to top): 24cm / 9½in
circumference (of the palm): 17.5cm / 7in
length from bottom to the thumb: 11cm / 4½in
length of thumb: 7cm / 2½in
length from the end of the thumb to the top: 8cm / 3in
