Kei is a simple and quick knit. It’s made by very easy and fun stitches that worked with aran weight yarn.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
One size(unisex).
Approx 17 inches (44 cm) circumference x 9¼ inches (23.5 cm) tall (un-stretched.after blocking).

YARDAGE
0.8 skein of Madelinetosh “Tosh Chunky”(which is truly an aran weight yarn. 165yards : 151 m / 100g) or approx 132yds/120m of aran weight yarn.
If you need the pom pom (optional), 0.15 skein of Madelinetosh “Tosh Chunky” or approx 25yds/23m of aran weight yarn.

YARN
Aran weight yarn.

GAUGE
18 sts ×25 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch in the round on larger needle (after blocking).
16 sts ×29 rows = 4 inches in 3×2 rib on smaller needle (un-stretched.after blocking).
19 sts ×31 rows = 4 inches in the stitch pattern on larger needle (un-stretched.after blocking).

NEEDLES
US#9 /5.5mm and US#8 /5.0mm .
One set of DPNs or one 16” / 40cm circular needles (if you using the Magic Loop technique) in each size (or size needed to obtain gauge).

OTHER MATERIALS
2 stitch markers, tapestry needle.

NOTE
The pom pom is optional.

太めの糸でざくざくと編む、シンプルなニット帽。
男性がぴっちり目深にかぶっても、女性がポンポンつきでゆったりかぶってもOKなデザイン。簡単なステッチでできるジグザグが楽しく、あっという間に編みあがります。

（サンプル使用糸はChunky=極太とありますが、正確には太めの並太になります）

針
10号（5.1mm）と11号(5.4mm)の棒針または輪針（またはゲージにあう号数の針）材料

メリヤス編み 18目×25段=10cm四方（太いほうの針・平置き・ブロッキング後）

NOTE
・ポンポンはオプションです。
・模様に段ずれができないよう、段の始まりのマーカー（Beginning of round marker = BORマーカー）の場所を移す作業が入ります。
