Recently I got very fascinated about twisted stitches and the textures you can build with them. After digging deep in stitchlibraries and other inspirational sources this pattern evolved.
And I wanted a hat that I can wear when spring is approaching. Therefore I chose quite thin yarn and also came up with the name “Keimling” - meaning “seedling” in german.

As you can see in the picture I wear my hats the way that they just cover half the ear. You can always lengthen it by adding a pattern repeat, which gives you about 4 cm extra.

I knitted the sample using Peterhead 2ply light jumper weight lambswool. I used 27 g of a 50 g skein (whole skein yardage: 275 m).
Another sample need everything but a few meters from a 25 g skein of rowanspun 4ply.

This is my very first pattern so feel free to report mistakes!
