When I had knitted the Drops Montreal hat I was dreaming of a similar beanie in black and multicolor using a simpler allover pattern.
When I had already given up making such a chart, I managed to do it.
And I really love it! As it reminds me a bit of Turkish carpet patterns I named it “Kelim”.
I hope you like it, too.
As it is only knit in two colors (multicolor and black sock yarn), it’s also suitable for stranded knitting beginners and with all this beautiful multicolor sock yarn you can buy at the moment it will get a nice “fake” fair isle beanie.
By adding or leaving out pattern repeats you can easily adjust the size to your gauge and desired hat circumreference.

Als ich die Montreal Mütze von Drops gestrickt hatte, hab ich mir eine ähnliche Mütze mit einer einfachen Allover-Chart gewünscht. Als ich es fast aufgegeben hatte, so eine Chart hinzukriegen, hat es dann doch noch geklappt.
Da sie mich sehr an türkische Teppichmuster erinnert, habe ich sie “Kelim” genannt.
Weil nur zwei Farben verwendet werden (Multicolor und Schwarz) ist diese Mütze auch für Anfänger geeignet.
Mit der derzeit verfügbaren Vielfalt von Multicolorgarnen bekommt Ihr so Eure eigene “falsche” Fair Isle Mütze.
Die Mütze kann durch Hinzufügen von Rapporten in der Grösse entsprechend variiert werden.
