If you’re looking for a last-minute gift, look no further than these mittens. They are easy to make, fairly quick to make and suitable for all knitters, whether you consider yourself a beginner knitter, and intermediate knitter or and advanced knitter.

To make the mittens a bit more interesting, I’ve added some texture using only the purl and knit stitches. The mittens are knit flat either on whatever needle type you feel most comfortable with (be it straight needles, DPNs or circulars). By using the Crochet Cast/on method you create a neat edge that will make it that much easier to bind the mittens off at the end. You will only have 2 ends to weave in, the cast/on tail and the bind off tail.

There are 3 sizes provided in this pattern, but you can very easily customize the mittens to suit your needs. Use the yarn and needles that give you the correct gauge and you can adjust the size of the mittens to suit your needs

This pattern is both charted and written, feel free to use the instructions you are most comfortable with.

Included in this pattern is a photo tutorial of how to accomplish the 3-Needle Bind Off that has been used.
