This pretty scarf will give you some practice with knitting some lovely but not-too-difficult lace patterns. I suggest that you use it as a series of gauge swatches for your future lace projects. Since some of the lace repeats have different multiples, I have adjusted the border stitches accordingly so the repeats come out correctly. The size of each lace section should work out to be approximately six or seven inches long – not counting the garter borders. The total length of the scarf is up to you. The cast on and bound off edges can be stitched together to form a cowl of any length you choose. The order of the patterns can also be changed around to your preference.
