Kenneth the Kingfisher
Lock up your daughters (and your fish fingers), it’s Kenneth the Kingfisher! This riverbank Romeo is 16cm/6¼in tall and knitted in two separate pieces, which are then joined using mattress stitch, so there’s no fiddly fair isle or intricate intarsia. Better still, you’ll only need small amounts of yarn to create your very own minnow-munching mate!
All the pieces are knitted flat on straight needles and seamed afterwards so it’s a good idea to seam and stuff the pieces as you go along.
You’ll be pleased to know that this pattern has been reviewed by a professional technical editor to ensure that it’s super-easy to follow! But, if you do get stuck, just message me - I aim to respond to all queries within 24 hours.

This pattern is intended for personal use so it’s fine to print it out for personal use but please don’t sell it, share it on the internet or make multiple copies. What you can sell (more money for yarn – YAY!) is finished items made from this pattern so long as you’ve made them yourself and it’s not on a commercial basis. Please remember to credit me as the designer!
And finally…
I’d love to see your finished kingfisher so please share him or her on Instagram, Facebook and here on Ravelry!
