This is a pattern for an ornately cabled warm and wide scarf. However, there are instructions contained within the pattern for a stole, (19 inches wide) a shawl 26 inches wide, and a narrow scarf, (8 inches wide) giving you the choice of what you’d like to make.

This scarf is knitted with light worsted weight yarn. The warm scarf is approximately 12 inches x 78 inches, but can be altered as stated above, and requires approximately 800 - 1000 yards. The unusual and elaborate focal cable stitch comes to us from Canada and the creative mind of Annie Maloney. This cable will appeal to most cable lovers.

The stitches are both charted and written out.

Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a very good working knowledge of cabling .)

There are also instructions for an optional crocheted border, should you want it edged.

This pattern was expertly tested by Mimi Seville and was knitted using Handmaiden’s/Fleece Artists Chinook yarn (undyed).
