Say hi to Kepler, a close-fitting cabled pullover which is a new free knitting pattern here on the blog. Like it?

I really loved designing it, and I love wearing it too. Kepler was intended to highlight the beauty of a single cable, in this case a 16-row Celtic braid, which might get overlooked within an Aran design. I flipped the cable onto the horizontal, for a new perspective on the cable and to allow for a more body-conscious design. Aside from the cables, everything on this pullover is kept very simple. Narrow shoulders and waist shaping make for a flattering fit, while three-quarter sleeves and a boat neck look elegant yet simple.

The cable bands are knit first, then stitches are picked up along the edges to create the cast on edges for the front, back, and sleeves. The collar is a simple applied I-cord edging. If anyone out there decides to knit it, please let me know how it turns out!“
