Kerma Beaker - National Archaeology Week 2022
This is a written pattern (with photographs) of a 3-dimensional Kerma Beaker archaeological artefact created and shared as a free resource for National Archaeology Week (NAW) 2022.
The bell-shaped Kerma beaker is a classic type of ceramic ware from the Kerma civilisation, a Nile Valley state of the Middle Kingdom of Egypt. The beakers were thin-walled, requiring strict control of temperature during firing, and made by hand.
