Kettering Hat
Using simple 2 stitch cables, stitches travel diagonally across a stockinette background, like a garden trellis. Worked top down with an i-cord start, the hat used linen stitch for the borders.
All techniques and stitch patterns are explained in the pattern, making this a good opportunity to learn new techniques, while being interesting enough to keep a more experienced knitter engaged from cast on to bind off.
