The Key Cardigan Junior is worked from the top down and its yoke is shaped with raglan increases. The neckline is shaped using short rows. The yoke and the body are worked back and forth on a circular needle, while the sleeves are worked in the round. At the end, plackets are worked along the front edges and along the neck. The cardigan is worked in a two-colored stranded stripe pattern.

The Key Cardigan Junior is designed to have approx. 25 cm [9¾ inches] of positive ease. The measurements for the finished garment are listed on the front page of the pattern (please note that these measurements are only achieved if the sweater is knitted in the correct gauge). Size 5-6 years has a chest circumference of 84 cm [33 inches] which will, in this example, give 25 cm [9¾ inches] of positive ease.
