Key Rings
Challenge your mind! The rings represent the dials of a combination lock. Rotating some of the rings would create a large X-shape in one colour across the afghan.
If you can’t work out how to do it in your mind, the instructions contain templates that you can cut out and turn until you find a solution. There are 128 possible solutions.
Key Rings is extremely quick and easy to crochet as all stitches are trebles (UK terminology). You don’t have to make it in the garish colours of the original but you do need six distinctly different colours. It can be made with any type of yarn and includes instructions for changing the size. The original neon colours are even brighter in real life, than they look in the photos.
The pattern has a large number of pages containing the templates for solving the puzzle. Only print them if you need them.
Read the story of this afghan on Ravelry or on Woolly Thoughts web site.
