Kickin' COVID-19 Socks
Check out my other FREE patterns here!
As a public health worker whose Dad came down with COVID-19 in March of 2020, I was feeling a bit overwhelmed by this nasty novel virus. My dad‘s Emergency Medicine Physician wrote a compelling piece related to my dad’s stay in the hospital that I keep going back to read whenever I need a reminder of the good people who are out there helping us to get through this crisis. I wanted to do something special for her since she did something so special for me; I had an absurd idea to design these socks (for a stranger) to help her kick COVID-19 outta here! They are striped, ribbed socks with a few colorwork bands added in. The spiky protrusions of the virus were embroidered after the colorwork panels were knit. Why not make a pair for your favorite essential worker!?
I’m offering this pattern for free until a COVID-19 vaccine is widely available!
