Here’s an easy pattern introducing kids to knitting in the round. It’s a good project to discuss the difference between knitting flat and in the round.
Cast on, check for a twist, join, knit & purl and bind off. There is a bit of patterning in some rows. It’s very easy and fun for kiddos to work this up, using only approximately 50 yards of yarn.
