We love the roll brim then ribbing to hold hat in place. Then knit onward to finish hat! That is all there is to it. Just a few rounds of decreasing at top and you are done! One hat only uses about 2 ounces of worsted weight yarn, so this make a good pattern to use up scrap yarn. Make it colorful with stripes too. Fits from 2 to 9 yrs. Use a 16” circular needle, US # 7, and a few double points to decrease for top of hat. Don’t worry. Our designs usually do not make you do many rows of decreasing on double points!
