Age 2 = 4 balls of recommended yarn (22 inch chest)

Age 4 = 5 balls (24 inch)

Age 6 = 6 balls (26 inch)

Age 8 = 7 balls (28 inch)

Age 10 = 8 balls (29 inch chest)

Pattern instructions are for bottom up, worked flat, and then seamed with set in sleeve. Patten includes border on the wrist and hem which matches the pattern on the upper chest.
