Kilen II is an easy, relaxing garter stitch project. Perfect for beginner knitters, or any knitter looking for a mindless project.

The narrow wedge shawl is worked sideways, and the size is easily adaptable. Two yarns are used, alternating between 3 rows with both yarns and 2 rows with one of them. You begin by casting on 2 stitches, and you can bind off when you like the size or you are running out of yarn.

Shown in Midgaards Have Midsommer and Bestla, the shawl can be worked in just about any yarn you please. If Midsommer and Bestla are replaced by yarns of a similar weigh, expect to use approx. 300 m (328 yd) of one and 450 m (492) of the other yarn. With other weights of yarns in other gauges, yarn use will probably differ.
