Kilfenora
♫ The Music ♫
The Kilfenora Jig is a traditional Irish tune that shares its name with an historic village in County Clare famous for its musical and dancing traditions.
Sophisticated and timeless, this crescent- shaped shawl combines tiny cables, lace, and twisted stitches to create the perfect accessory. The arched lace pattern, reminiscent of the cathedral windows in its namesake Irish village, enhances the tonal quality of the yarn’s deep, rich colours, and silk adds an effortless drape. Whether casually wrapped around the neck to keep out the chill or displayed over the shoulders in its full glory, this shawl is as stunningly beautiful as it is a pleasure to knit.
This pattern is charted only, knit from a provisionally cast on tab and ending with a lacy picot cast-off.
