About
The Killadoon Cowl is the sister design of the Killadoon Hat and the idea for the Killadoon was born of cabled sweaters. And is named for the village of Killadoon, which is just north of the area where my mom grew up in Ireland.

The cable/moss stitch texture reminded me of the cabled Aran sweaters of my childhood and teen years. I knew that they were destined to be combined into this Killadoon Hat and now into the Killadoon Cowl.

This textured cowl is enjoyable from the first stitch until the last. It’s suitable for an intermediate knitter but engaging enough for a more advanced one. A perfect quick gift knit for your favorite knit-worthy friend or family member. The only question is how many is too many?
