About:
The idea for the Killadoon Cup Cozy was born of daffodils and cabled sweaters. It ultimately got its name from this photo of a field of daffodils in Killadoon, a village just north of the area where my mom grew up in Ireland.
The daffodil was always a favorite of my mom’s, and the color was just perfect for this Cup Cozy. The cable/moss stitch texture reminded me of the cabled Aran sweaters of my childhood and teen years. I knew that they were destined to be combined into this Cup Cozy.
This textured Cup Cozy is enjoyable from the first stitch until the last. It’s suitable for an intermediate knitter but engaging enough for a more advanced one. It is a fun knit that creates a Cup Cozy to fit a travel mug but is easily adaptable to fit many different cups or mason jars. A perfect quick gift knit for your favorite knit worthy friend or family member.
The only question is how many is too many?
