Killarney Cabled Mittens
These bulky mittens have the same Celtic-like center cable design as the matching scarf and cowl. The design is carried down the outer wrist for ample coverage with 2x2 ribbing on the palm side for a nice, comfy fit. As a bonus, instructions for matching fold-over fingerless mitts are included.
The skill level is intermediate or above. Knowledge of cables, knitting in-the-round, decreases, grafting, and working with double-points (or circulars) is necessary. This pattern uses charts and tables for step-by-step instructions.
Choose the coverage you want – full mittens or fold-over fingerless mitts. The mitts can also be made with shorter ribbing to omit the fold-over design if preferred. Either way, both pairs of mitts are great additions to the scarf or cowl to form a matching set for gift-giving or just for you.
