Killarney Scarf
The Killarney Scarf gets its name from the song Christmas In Killarney sung by Bing Crosby.
It has been designed with Yarn Advent Calendars in mind and uses 21 mini skeins of fingering weight yarn held together with a lace weight mohair.
Alternatively the scarf can be knit beautifully using just one colour of fingering weight yarn held with the mohair.
The design includes both lace and cables; these are more intricate at either end requiring a little concentration. The middle section of the scarf is a less challenging knit, perfect while watching Christmas Movies!
You will need:
1115 yards / 1050 meters of fingering weight yarn either as one colour or as 21 colour a if approximately 12g each.
1115 yards / 1050meters of a lace weight mohair or brushed Shri Alpaca.
4.5mm circular needle
2 cable needles- ideally wooden and linked to help keep your stitches safely on the needle.
Happy Advent Knitting!
