Killdeer Afghan Crochet Pattern

This is a DC textured crochet afghan made with Lion Brand Pound of Love yarn and a 4.5 mm crochet hook. Sample object shown is a small baby blanket measuring 29” x 37” including border (26”x35” without border). One repeat of the pattern is roughly 9” wide by 8.5” tall. Instructions and yarn estimates are provided to modify the pattern to make larger or smaller afghans. Pattern is provided in both written and chart formats.

Any worsted weight yarn and corresponding hook will do, but will affect the finished size.

Materials:

• 4.5 mm hook
• Lion Brand Pound of Love in Antique White. Yardage will depend on the size of afghan. Sample used 490g to make 1073 square inches, including the 1” border.
• Finishing needle

XDC crossed double crochet
FLDC front loop double crochet
BLDC back loop double crochet
