Kiltipper Scarf
I grew up beside the Kiltipper Road in Dublin, and spent many happy days walking along the tree lined road, past the farms and up to Masseys Estate and the Hell Fire Club. This is my tribute to my childhood.
Kiltipper is a pretty little fashionable scarf knit entirely in garter stitch with a lace pattern and zigzag shape. Killtipper is knit all in one piece and uses only one ball of J&S 2 ply lace weight wool.
It was very quick and easy to knit and has endless possibilities - buttons, beads, bands or stripes of colour, ribbons, fasten with a brooch or fancy pin etc.
My scarf used 185yards and measures 56” x 5.5” approx.
