This decadent little scarf requires just a single 400-yard skein of laceweight or light fingering yarn. The lace pattern is easy to follow and thus provides relaxing knitting while enjoying a special yarn. Blocking is required to fully reveal the lacy diamond pattern.

In order to achieve symmetry in the lace patterns, this scarf is worked in two pieces from the ends toward the centre. The two pieces are then grafted together using kitchener stitch.

Skills/Techniques Required:

  • Working with laceweight or light fingering yarn
  • Following charted stitch patterns
  • Basic lace knitting using yarn overs and decreases
  • Grafting using kitchener stitch
  • Blocking of knitted lace

A kcDesigns version of this pattern, already set up for use with KnitCompanion, is available on Create2Thrive.
