Kin
Kin Jumper is crocheted with a striking two-row repeat. With understated Dolman-style sleeves, it’s inspired by those batwing jumpers of the 1980s, with a more fitted style.
The crossed treble stitch rows create an open lacey texture, while the double slip stitch rows create vertical lines that give the jumper structure and a sophisticated look.
The pattern is both written and charted.

Tension/Gauge: As the garment is worked sideways, the row tension is more important than stitch tension, as it affects the overall width of the garment from sleeve to sleeve.
Blocked gauge is: 24 sts (8 Xtr3) over 12cm/ 4.75” and 10 rows (over main pattern) over 10cm/ 4” using 5mm hook
Finished measurements: These are finished measurements after wet blocking. Use waist measurement to determine size with suggested 7 - 20cm/ 2.75 - 8“ of positive ease. 1 (2, 3, 4) {5, 6, 7} 8,9. See table in images for full set of measurements.
Construction: Kin is worked sideways in one large piece. Starting at the right side of the jumper, increases at the edges form the right sleeve. Chains are added to create additional length for the body. Front and back are split to create the neck hole, then re-joined to finish the body and then decrease for the left sleeve. The waist rib is created at the same time, leaving just the collar and cuffs to add. Finally, a selvedge is added to the edges before joining the jumper together, using mattress stitch.
Kin is a sixteen-page, fully tech edited document. It is A4 sized with large, clear text.
