Construction
The Kinetic Wrap is a striped, trapezoidal wrap that is worked as a triangle from the top down, then worked into a trapezoid by adding rows to either side of the wrap.

Colourwork
This Kinetic Wrap is written so that you can use 1 ball per colour without needing to break into a second ball of any one colour. 5 different colours are used here, but any combination of fingering weight yarn will work for this piece; feel free to make up your own striping pattern. You could make it all one solid colour or use this pattern for a scrappy project.

Yarn
Yarn - 5 balls of WeCrochet Palette (category 1, fingering weight) I used 5 of the new “Twist” colourways.
100% Peruvian Highland Wool

Any fingering weight yarn can be used in place of Palette. I used Palette because it’s a really affordable yarn ($3.50 per ball) and has every colour under the sun.

Yardage - 880 yds in total
Colour A: Asphalt – 145 yds
Colour B: Grizzly – 187 yds
Colour C: Briar – 230 yds
Colour D: Pumice – 229 yds
Colour E: Marble – 89 yds

My Faux Fade Wrap (another free crochet pattern) also uses Palette if you’re a fan of this yarn!
