“ King & Queen “ Valentine’s day hat pattern set

     Happy Valentine’s day to all people and couples around the world. As I am a crocheter but knitter too I was just thinking what I can make for my man for this special day, so I started searching on internet and could not find i gift I like so much. Here is so cold these days and he is always asking me to crochet or knit something for him so he can be warm when he is at work. I was just thinking, thinking and I found a perfect present. I made a crochet and knitted hat which was special for us because he is my King and I am his Queen. I really like the idea of making this set, cause’ all the time he will feel that I am with him even if we are far away from each other. So here it is our set ” King & Queen ” . I decided to make them using chunky/bulky  yarn instead of other weights as it make the final product so cozy. Of course it save you time. It is quicker and if you don’t want to spend so much time it will be the perfect project for you. Or if you are last minute person in making gifts this pattern will help you to make special and saving time gift.

Materials used:

Chunky / Bulky yarn  ( 5- 6 wpi ) – 25 % Wool, 75 % – Acrylic

Tapestry needle

Circular needle size - 9 mm for the hat and 7 mm for the rib. 1 pair 60 cm and 1 pair 40 cm circular needle.With them we can finish and work easily at the top of the hat.We will  work in round.

GAUGE – 12 sts to 14 rows

 Man hat – The size are S, M , L 

The stich we will use are  knit and purl. We will incorporate with  2 colors yarn which will be indicated with the color legend  -  one Main color ( M ) and one black ( B ) color.

Cast on 60 sts for S, 64 for M and 66 for L. join your knitting by knitting into the first stitch you made.
