King of Fruits Cozy
This pattern creates a bathroom tissue (toilet roll) cozy that resembles a pineapple. It is made to cover a standard tissue roll but will stretch to fit a jumbo roll. It is worked in two colors.
MATERIALS:
• Yarn: One ball of chunky acrylic in two colors. I tested this pattern with Stylecraft Chunky in Lime Green (my color A) and Stylecraft DK (held double) in the Gold colorway (my color B).
• 5.5 mm hook.
• Several stitch markers
• Yarn needle to weave in ends.
GAUGE: It has not been established for this pattern.

EXPERIENCE LEVEL
• Beginner looking for a challenge and above.
PROJECT NOTES:
• To make the cover longer (for a larger roll) continue in pattern in groups of 4 rounds. For a wider cover, increase in multiples of 8 at the body and multiples of 7 at the crown.
• This project is worked in the round and joined. Keep your slip stitch and ch 1 tight to make a more “invisible” join. These stitches are not used on future rounds.
• The stitch pattern used for the body was adapted to work in the round using only two colors. The original stitch was called “Embossed Shells” and was found in Todhunter, T. “200 more crochet stitches”. Quarto Publishing. London. 2019
