This is the pattern for a king parrot appliqué. I do have this pattern available for free on my website if you would prefer that option. The link is down below, but I’ve made it available for people to download as well for $1 on Ravelry.

I’ve used 4 ply cotton and a 1.25mm crochet hook but you can use different sizes depending on what you’re most comfortable with.

I used 7 colours of 4 ply crochet cotton, red, green, blue, black, grey, and pink for the parrot and brown for the branch but you could use other colours or wool if you prefer.

A crochet hook, I used a 1.25mm hook.

Scissors.

Thread and sewing needle to stitch the parrot together.

Darning needle to weave in ends.

Black sewing or embroidery cotton to embroider on the eye.
