King Peter the Magnificent
by Becky Greene
Once a king or queen of Narnia, always a king or queen of Narnia.”
~ C. S. Lewis, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe
The Chronicles of Narnia have always been one of my favorite series of books. This sock is the third in a series of designs to represent the four thrones at Cair Paravel.
For Peter, I chose to knit a cabled sock. This pattern is certainly suitable for men, whether or not they are magnificent.
The pattern is written for three sizes. Options for knitting even more sizes include: adding more purl stitches in between the patterns or using a slightly heavier weight sock yarn and larger needles. If you choose the latter option, remember the Golden Rule for knitters -- SWATCH!
