Kingsessing
Kingsessing is part of the collection Neighborhood Knits: Shawls, four shawls inspired by Philadelphia neighborhoods.
Kingsessing is a long crescent shaped shawl worked from the top down in garter stitch with eyelet inserts in a contrast color. A wide ribbing finishes the edging. The instructions are written for fingering weight yarn, but any yarn and the appropriate needle will make a beautiful fabric.
The finished measurements are approximately 77” x 15”.
The main color uses approximately 352 yards and the contrast color uses approximately 168 yards. The colors shown in the photos are Whiskey Barrel and Antique Lace.
You will need a size US 5 (3.75mm) 32” circular needle and one removable stitch marker.
The instructions are written. This is a good project for the advanced beginner.
