Kirby the Delicious
Kirby the Delicious is a Terry’s Chocolate Orange cover that’s great for Easter hunts, birthday gifts or as a ‘just-because-Terry’s Chocolate Oranges are awesome’ present.
Kirby is a simple amigurumi, with an unsecured opening at the back so you can easily slip the Chocolate Orange inside. He is about 7cm (2.75”) tall and 9cm (3.5”) tall.
You will need 3 colours of yarn (yardage for each colour is included in the downloadable pattern) as some small scraps:
- Pink for the body
- Red/darker pink for the shoes
- Black for the eyes
- Small amount of blue yarn for embroidery
- Small amount of white yarn for embroidery
I usually make Kirby with cotton, but you may prefer to use acrylic, a blend, or whatever you have in your stash to make this fun little cosy.
I suggest having a Terry’s Chocolate Orange with you while you make Kirby, so you can check the cover will fit, make sure the orange will fit through the opening… and reward yourself with chocolate when you’ve finished each stage
I used Kirby to make a gaming themed treasure hunt for my son - I hope you’ll enjoy Kirby just as much as we did.
